Self-care(養生) and Eastern Medicine

March 30, 2022 By Risa Oishi

Modified and translated by CFJA

From the moment we are given “life”, we who are “alive” are heading towards death. We are wearing out our lives just by staying alive. Everything in our daily life drains our energy that can potentially turn into a cause of an illness.

This is where the question of how we spend our daily lives comes in. And we believe that this is the reason why the word “Self-care(養生)” was coined. Eastern Medicine emphasizes the importance of sleep, dietary and many other problems that cannot be avoided in our everyday life.

Please take a look at each section, and we hope that this will give you an opportunity to reflect on your own life.
